I am proud to be teaching at Montana City School and I am thrilled to be teaching in a first grade classroom. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education K-8 with an Art K-12 endorsement from Montana State University-Bozeman. In 2017, I also completed my Master's degree in Instruction and Learning from Montana State University-Northern. I have been teaching and working in Montana schools since 2002. In my first four years at Montana City School, I taught art for grades 1-8 and math and reading groups in the LEAP/Title 1 program. In the years before coming to Montana City, I taught first grade and a K/1 combination in Billings and Bozeman area schools and worked in the Helena School District. I also spent five weeks during a summer teaching English to middle school students in China. I love creating, learning and the adventure of working with students of all ages and from all walks of life. I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Montana City School.
In November 2012 I took on a new role and became a mom. In July 2015 we welcomed the arrival of our second son. Life is a busy and fun adventure. During the summer months you may find me fly fishing and enjoying the rivers and streams of Montana or hiking to mountain lakes and waterfalls with my husband and boys. During the ski season, you'll find us at Great Divide and other area mountains.
